This site does not collect any personal data. There is no sign-up and there are no advertising cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA). It sets no cookies and builds no profiles of individual visitors. We only see aggregated numbers such as page views, referring sites and countries.
The generator runs entirely in the browser. Entries, uploaded photos and saved agents stay on the device, in the browser’s local storage. No data is sent to a server. To delete the data, clear the site data in the browser, or use “Start over” in the generator and delete the saved agents under “My agents”.
This site contains links to PayPal for voluntary support of O.D.I.N. They are plain links; no scripts or content from PayPal are loaded. Only when you click such a link are you taken to PayPal, where the privacy policy of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg applies.
The virtual table at odin-rpg.de/tisch/ runs in your browser. Maps, agents, chat and rolls of a session go directly from browser to browser (WebRTC) and are not stored on any server of ours. So that the browsers can find each other, they exchange encrypted connection data via public Nostr relays (relay.damus.io, nos.lol, relay.primal.net, nostr.mom and relay.nostr.band), and a STUN server run by Cloudflare tells each browser its public address. These services see your IP address and the time, but not the content of the session. With a direct connection, the other participants of your session also see your IP address. The session state and your settings are stored locally in your browser; you can delete them with “Start over” or by clearing the site data in your browser.
Schleierriss online: The board game at odin-rpg.de/schleierriss/ and its English edition at odin-rpg.de/en/veilrift/play/ run in your browser and connect to no one until you choose “Online spielen” or “Play online”. In online mode the board goes directly from the browser of the person who opened the room to the other players, and their clicks go back, through the same Nostr relays and the same STUN server as the table. The same applies as described there: these services see your IP address and the time, not the content, and with a direct connection the other players see your IP address. Only the browser of the person who opened the room stores the game state.
Feedback from the table: When you choose “Give feedback”, you see the whole text first and send it yourself, by e-mail from your own mail program or by pasting it into our Discord channel. If you choose, it includes technical details (browser and operating system, screen size, language, table version, role, number of connected players and recent error messages), but no room ID, no names and no chat. The table does not store these details and sends nothing automatically.
Discord channel for your group: The GM can enter a Discord webhook address in the table settings. Their browser then posts the group's rolls and events to that Discord channel: the agent's name or “GM”, the roll and the result, so only what everyone at the table sees anyway. Hidden rolls, whispers, chat and enemy stats are never sent. The address stays in the GM's browser. Anything that reaches Discord falls under Discord's privacy policy. Without an address, the table sends nothing to Discord.
Usage counter: When a session starts (in the virtual table when you enter a room, in the Owlbear extension when a room starts, in the Foundry system once a day per world), your browser sends an anonymous ping to a Cloudflare Worker (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA) that counts only platform, language and date and stores no IP addresses, IDs or cookies. In Foundry you can switch it off in the world settings under “Anonymous usage count”.
